Its melting point is 164-166 ℃ and the boiling point is 240-245 ℃. Soluble in hot water and acetone, 2-J ketone, dimethylformamide, ethyl acetate, cyclohexanone. It is soluble in anhydrous ethanol and reacts, slightly soluble in carbon tetrachloride and toluene. Trimellitic anhydride is an important chemical raw material of modern new materials. It is an important intermediate for the modification and addition of fine chemical products. It is widely used in environmental plasticizer, high-end powder coating, high-grade insulating material (enameled wire coating) and high-temperature curing agent, etc.
